Cougarette Sequel Online Kickoff - Hour Three
Our last kickoff announcement – boo!
But I understand that Katy Perry, Missy Elliott and Lenny Kravitz are performing at some football game this afternoon so I won’t keep you.
Speaking of musical celebs, the synopsis mentioned that Cougarette in the Country will take us back in time to a teenage CeeCee. One of the best things about the summer of 1988 – the summer CeeCee Banks turned 16 – is the music. Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Bobby Brown, Janet Jackson – back when all you needed was a Walkman, headphones and a healthy pack of double A batteries.
I took a stab at what I imagined would be on a CeeCee Banks mixtape and created this playlist. All of the songs were released within 18 months of the summer of 1988 and are symbolic of the storyline in CeeCee’s flashbacks. This playlist provided me with hours of inspiration while I created the first draft. Enjoy and thank you again for joining me this morning!
