Just because you live in a post-apocalyptic wasteland doesn't mean you have to be a dick about it. Which is the basic sentiment behind "End of the World or Not, I Still Have Feelings," a short piece I wrote
which you can now read over at the McSweeney's website. It's kind of like
The Road, but with therapy.
"End of the World or Not" is actually an extra-condensed version of a short story I've struggled with over the years, so I'm glad that it's finally getting to see the light of day in shorter, funnier form.
If you like it, I invite you to check out my short novella
Rocket
, which I can only describe as
The Right Stuff, meets
Fast Times at Ridgemont High, meets
Forever or Never (I just made that last one up). It's available for $3.99 from
Amazon (and
here). You can also get it as an ebook for a cheap 99-cents at iBooks (do a search for my name), and in various other electronic formats
here.
And of course, there's also my noir detective novel
The Canal
, which has it all: Brooklyn, sewers, and compulsive handwashing. It's available as an ebook from
Amazon and
B&N.
