Medea's Curse
It's been three years in process...but with 30 years psychiatry experience and even longer of writing to get to release day of my first psychological thriller (under my real name). Release day yesterday...er that actually means that it gets put into the trucks...who then take the books and some time later busy bookshop owners may unpack! So a tour yesterday of bookshops was reassuring as they were expecting it to arrive - but I have yet to see one on the shelf! Today maybe...
Exciting to see a first (formal) review (and thanks Book Mooch blogger review! as well as the early one son Amazon and Goodreads) in this months Women's Weekly:
"A psychological thriller with all the ingredients" - Jennifer Byrne
Hope it doesn't confuse people because I changed a name between the ARC (advanced reader copy that reviewers get sent) and the final version. Still the same book!
Forensic psychiatrist Natalie King works with victims and perpetrators of violent crime. Women with a history of abuse, mainly. She rides a Ducati a size too big and wears a tank top a size too small. Likes men but doesn’t want to keep one. And really needs to stay on her medication. Now she’s being stalked. Anonymous notes, threats, strangers loitering outside her house. A hostile former patient? Or someone connected with a current case? Georgia Latimer—charged with killing her three children. Travis Hardy—deadbeat father of another murdered child, with a second daughter now missing. Maybe the harrassment has something to do with Crown Prosecutor Liam O’Shea—drop-dead sexy, married and trouble in all kinds of ways. Natalie doesn’t know. Question is, will she find out before it’s too late?Available on Amazon, via Text https://www.textpublishing.com.au/boo..., and hopefully in bookshops today! And the sequel, Hera's Judgement was handed to my editor yesterday...Natalie's new supervisor needs her help- but is it to get over the death of his first wife or to plan the murder of his second?
