New Years Resolutions.... Better Late than Never?
I wasn’t sure if I should post my goals for the year. I’m the type of person that likes to shoot for the stars even if I know that I can’t really make it happen. My philosophy is that writing three books while shooting for ten is better than writing two while shooting for three. So, with that in mind, I made a huge list of things I wanted to do this year for my writing, personal well being, and my family. I’d like to share a few of those goals with you.
I would like to release three new titles this year. And so far, I’m on track with this goal! (YAY!) Which is huge for me. I released one title in 2014 and one in 2013, and I’m ready to kick things up a notch. I’m not sure what those titles will be at this point, but I can tell you that I have several projects already in the works. We’ll see how this year plays out, but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to release stories that thrill you and touch your heart. After all, that’s my main goal as a writer, and if I don’t do that, no matter how many books I release, I’ve failed.
I’m also striving for more consistency in my crazy life. My ‘beasties’ take up most of my day, and some days I’m completely tapped out of all creative energy. My goal is to write one new sentence each day. I’ve been going strong with this goal, and I must say that I'm thrilled with the results. Several days, I only wrote one sentence, but I felt happy, accomplished. Doing this doesn’t necessarily make me write more (although it does more often than not), but it’s kept the story fresh in my mind so that when I sit down for a major writing session, everything is crystal clear. That has been huge.
A final goal of mine is to grow my newsletter list. I want to stay connected with you! I want you to get to know me a little more and stay up-to-date on new releases, contests, and giveaways. I want to have the opportunity to get to know you and thank you for all the support you’ve given me. Please consider signing up for my newsletter HERE . I promise I’ll send emails sparingly (once a month with an occasional new release announcement) and will ALWAYS protect your information.
I hope that with these goals, I am able to improve and grow. I want to write better stories. I want to connect with more of you, Dear Readers! Here’s to a wonderful new year!
