Working on Cyborgs

So I’m getting close to finishing book 6 in my Cyborgs: More Than Machines series. Adam, is centered around the leader of the earth resistance and liberation movement. He’s more human than some of the other cybernetic models, but at the same time, because he must work undercover, he doesn’t like to allow anyone to get close to him. Until a certain doctor catches his eye.

Given the secrets he hides, he finds it easy to resist her allure, but when danger draws them together, he can’t resist the temptation she poses.

I’m toying with blurbs

On Earth, when a rebel cyborg leader is drawn into a search for answers, he doesn’t expect things to blow up. And he’s not just talking about his house. Somehow his heart explodes too with the last thing he ever expected—love.

He survived because the military made a mistake.

They crossed the line when they decided to take away his free will and turn him into a machine.

They mistakenly thought he was a slave they could command.

But their biggest screw up of all was when they didn’t terminate him at the first sign cyborgs were regaining sentience.

Now that I know what they’ve done, it’s my turn to fuck them. Without lube. Without mercy. It’s time I blew things up.

“How are you feeling?”

“Surprised.”

Not the answer he expected. Scared; yes. Tired; probably. In shock; normal. But…“Surprised? By what?”

“The fact we’re alive.”

“Of course we are. There was never any other possible outcome.” Another cybernetic failure, one most cyborgs suffered from; overconfidence.

 

A good looking guy like him wouldn’t jeopardize his career for sex with an overworked, under exercised, science geek.

Before she could mentally list all her faults, she employed her self empowering speech. I am a beautiful, strong woman. I don’t need a man’s attention to know I’m special.

But she sure could use a man to remind her what it felt like to be a desirable woman.

Sigh. She hated it when she argued with herself.
