Actually writing things

I'm determined that, despite working all hours, 2015 will be the year when I actually complete and publish something new.

I've been working on some short stories for a little thing that me and Richard Rider have been batting ideas about for.

I've also been trying to concentrate on one or other of the two novels I have planned out.

I'm leaning currently towards historical fiction set in the 17th century 1) to put a lifetime of nerdery to good use 2) to try and bleach my brain of That Christian Fall Book 3) to overturn some of the tropes I find always associated with fiction about the Civil War 4) utter self indulgence.

Towards this end, I've been consuming all the tacky vintage adventure novels that I can find, to put me in the right mood. Hopefully it's working. Time will tell...

Dianna Looking forward to reading your novels when they appear - I've just read When the Music Stops and loved it.

The Trojan collection that you and Richard Rider are publishing sounds an interesting prospect - I really like his novels too.

Good luck with your writing :)

Hi Dianna, thanks so much for reading WTMS and for your kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Yep, Rich is a brilliant writer - I can vouch that the stories I've read from him for Trojan Project so far are excellent.
Thanks very much - it'll be nice to actually publish something again!

Hi Misty, it's going fine thank you for asking - first draft of first chapter completed on the novel, just need to get my final story finished for Trojan Project too.

Hope you're well!
