Why did you want to kill the Super Metroid animals?

I don’t typically like killing animals, but speedruns take place in a harsh and brutal universe, and sacrifices must be made when being the fastest is the most important thing.

If it makes you feel better, I always save the animals during my own playthroughs of Super Metroid, plus Fusion showed us that they survive canonically
