I am a hooked reader on this series by Ginger Scott. She has a way with writing a story that captures you and holds you hostage from page 1 to the last page. Her characters all have 3 dimensional characteristics. This story was written in Ty’s and Cass’s POV. The chemistry that these two characters had was fantastic. Ty being in a wheelchair never stopped him from helping Cass develop the courage to fight for something that she wanted which was to play soccer. Her disease MS made it impossible to obtain her dreams because in doing so she would be going against her family who felt that by playing soccer it would eventually bring on a outburst of her MS symptoms due to her getting overworked. Ty worked with her as a personal trainer to listen to her body and the love that they shared gave her the power to stand up to her parents and fight for what she wants. They both came into the relationship gunshy by that I mean they carried some serious baggage from past experiences and past relationships. Together as a couple they were unstoppable. They gave each other tremendous strength to push through life and deal with it as a team. I also was able to connect with both book 1 and book 2 because the author is from my hometown and lots of the story was brought to life. My favorite passage from the books was… “I had a great love, and then I had a great tragedy,” he says. “That love, it put me right again, sent me on my way to where I am now. To you. And as far as I’m concerned, from now on, there is just you… and everything after.” That one passage just sends chills down my spine. It was so heartfelt and touching you couldn’t help but believe in the power of love. As I was reading I kept hoping for more books in the series and then at the end I was made very happy. There will be another book in Paige, Cass’s sister POV. I received a copy in exchange for a honest and unbiased review.
