I have a sooper simple way of coloring where I knock the contrast up to 100 so all the blacks are solid (when I ink stuff, not on the penciled stuff). and then bucket fill a lot of it.
So this has (1) inks on 11 by 17 bristol board. This was a 2 page spread with the 2 pages taped together. I have a small scanner so each page take like 3 or 4 scans and then I piece them together. and then multiply the level with the line art on it and color on the levels below it.
(2) I have a layer for the flat colors (3) and then the shadows. the shadows on this were 2 layers since I did one for the grey shadows and one for the red lit room.
But yeah, I learned photoshop from Tomer Hanuka on my lunch break from a book store job. I think I still color with the basic ideas he showed me.
