In Case You Missed It!

In Case You Missed It!

Happy 2015 everyone!  So glad to see you here again! Are you ready for more fun and frivolity from me this year? Well I’m ready to share with you!

This week we take a look back 2014, a look forward to 2015, and much more!

In Case You Missed It – Disney and Universal Orlando News and Rumors

Fortune had a fantastic look at CEO Bob Iger. This in-depth article talked about how he became CEO and peeled the onion of the man. It also takes a look at what could be in store for the company in the future. Such an intriguing article, for sure.

So, I found my new running mix! DJ Elliot shared his tracks from his New Year’s Eve set at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This will come in handy next week when I’m running the 10k during Marathon Weekend. (PS: why did I think it would be a good idea to sign up for the 10k?)

Frozen takes another award for 2014. It was the second most pirated movie of the year, according to Variety.

As time goes on, I find myself connecting more and more with a certain movie from the 90s…and no, it’s not one that you’d necessarily think of. It’s actually Hercules. Meg has become one of my favorite Disney Princesses because she and I have similar personalities. (Even though she isn’t one officially–and is oftentimes considered to have more in common with the villains, according to Disney.) Besides my affinity for Meg, I like this because the music is lively, James Woods is awesome, and the story is fun. This great article shares why if you haven’t seen Herc lately, you may want to catch it on Netflix; it’s truly an underrated masterpiece.

Disney in Depth takes a look at some of the hits, as well as misses from the Walt Disney Company in 2014. What do you think was the biggest hit and the biggest miss?

In 2014 we lost quite a few Disney voice actors. See who in this memorial from The Orlando Sentinel.

2015 is expected to be a HUGE year for Disney, as far as movies go. I mean let’s be honest, the line up of scheduled movies for this year is just redonkulous! See what record Disney could potentially break thanks to the stellar films on the docket. (I mean really!  Avengers, Inside Out, Tomorrowland, Cinderella, oh and a little film called Star Wars. And that’s just the start! Which film are you most excited to see this year?)

Speaking of Cinderella, did you happen to catch the new sneak preview released on New Year’s Eve?
