Warming Up the Car

I'm warming up the car right now, and I just thought I'd write a short blog post about that.

First, do you need to warm up a car? I got into an argument with my mom on this a month ago. I guess newer cars don't need to be warmed up, and it in fact may damage their engines.

I grew up in Montana, and when it's a bit above zero, and a lot less with the wind, then you warm that car up. Besides, isn't it just better to drive down the road in a car that's not freezing, doesn't have the steering column acting sluggish, and is happier?

Yeah, I think it makes the car happier...I said it.

I'm just not going to compromise on this issue - I'm a firm car-warming advocate, take it or leave it.
