Frank Cho: Ghost Dog in Hell illo from “World of Payne: Ghost Dog” Click to view larger
It’s been a quiet week for the most part, usual holiday nonsense of shopping and seeing people you don’t want to see. I’ve buried myself in work as usual, doing an odd cover and pin-up here and there. But mostly I’ve spent all week working on “World of Payne: Ghost Dog”, a creator-owned project that I’m doing with Tom Sniegoski.
As matter of fact, I’ve spent the last three days cross-hatching this latest “World of Payne” piece, Ghost Dog in Hell. It’s my nod to “Dante’s Divine Comedy” by the great 19th century illustrator Gustave Dore. This Ghost Dog character has taken a life of its own and these short Ghost Dog segments are writing themselves. Tom and I are just tickled pink by how the whole project is naturally progressing. More art and info later.
Mark your calendar, folks. Look for the big “World of Payne: Ghost Dog” Kickstarter launch in the spring.
