Advent Day 14: The Storyteller

I've meant to read Jodi Picoult for years - a large number of recommendations convinced me to give her a try. I found The Storyteller riveting. Yes, I guess it's emotionally manipulative and pulls us all over the place and some of the characterisation is out of the store cupboard - but there's undeniable storytelling verve at work here on every level.
