WONDERS OF THE ANCIENT WORLD: Knossos Palace 


KNOSSOS is the ancient Minoan palace, and the surrounding town on the Greek island of Crete. It is sung of by Homer in the Odyssey . The settlement Knossos was established before 2,000 BCE and was destroyed C. 1700 BCE, by a fire. 


Knossos is mentioned throughout many different myths - mainly the story of Theseus and the Minotaur.
