Curl Up With Inspiring Movies! Fab Gift Idea, Too

We know what is already on television these days, and it tends to get old/formulaic/boring/uninspired. And for those of us who are looking for inspiring messages in all areas of life – including on the couch with a remote! – I was so excited to discover Spiritual Cinema Circle by GaiamTV. I’ve always loved indie films and thought-provoking documentaries, but the collection of movies I just received took things to a whole new level. Four wonderful stories about a middle-aged farmer chasing a seemingly impossible dream to run 500 miles (“Cliffy” – which takes identifying your new year’s goals to a whole new level!

Then a short film about a man’s mission to create art in New Mexico caves – and you haven’t seen anything like this sculptural work before, trust me (“Cave Digger”;). HAVE to go there.

Another short film focused on a gentleman going through a difficult professional phase, and he can’t turn his business around until a bizarre request comes through - and changes everything (“The Listing Agent”;). Miracles in action, baby!

And “Jonah”, an amazing visual experience of a few people who experience something remarkable in their town, to put it simply. The graphics alone in this short film make you want to resist blinking because you might miss something amazing. If more people saw this one, it would raise the bar on visual graphics in movies.

This was the first Spiritual Cinema Circle DVD that arrived, and although I loved each film, I was bummed that all of the stories focused on men as the main protagonists. But the following months showcase female leads, and every story is a work of its own creation, so I’ll let that slide.
