of coating reality in synthetic sugar.

I’ve been doing this for so many years

that if it were possible I would have

a degree in covering sincerity

with fictional words. The truth is that

even when the world goes up

in flames I will somehow still think of you

when everything around me is starting

to turn to ash. This confession isn’t as

extreme as you probably thought
