Let's Synchronise our Diaries.
Housekeeping.
Now that it's all lovely and official, and we have exciting conformation and dates in regards to BRAND NEW series, with my two book deal with Hachette, 'The Paradise Series' I can now clarify where this new novels will fit into the bigger picture and what this means for 2015. If you missed the announcement you can check it out HERE.
Lets break it down...
What's next?
Max
This novella will be released early Feb. I am currently working on Max's story right now and aiming to get this completed by December 18th and ready for the editors. Hoorah! I can not wait for you to meet Max Henry and Melanie Sheehan, lots of lies, lust and laughter with these two. I am REALLY looking forward to this Onslow Boy, perhaps because we know the least about him.
Max Henry thought he’d left the dusty flats of Ballan behind, but when the past slams into his present, suddenly there is no escaping – even if he wanted to.
Melanie Sheehan didn’t set out to be a liar, but her last lie landed her in big trouble. Now Mel must suffer a harsh consequence – she’s not allowed out of her father’s sight.
No friends, no parties, no life.
Since impeccably good behaviour is now all she’s about, her dad, renowned Ballan local ‘Bluey’ Sheehan, is about to finally cut Mel some slack. The catch? While he heads out of town on business, she has to stay at the Onslow Hotel, and he’s entrusting Max Henry, the eldest son of Bluey’s best mate, to look out for her.
He just doesn’t know it yet.
Max, the new head barman at the Onslow Hotel, is the one boy Mel has been crushing on since forever. At a time when Mel plans to go on the straight and narrow, she is about to tell the biggest lie of all. Will Max be able to handle the fiery farm girl or should he be considered the last boy in Onslow to trust?
Paradise City
The first book in my steamy summer romance set in a coastal Aussie City. The release will be April 28th, 2015 and will be available in ebook form and all good local bookshops.
There's bound to be trouble in Paradise . . .
When her parents decide a change will be good for her, seventeen-year-old Lexie Atkinson never expected they'd send her all the way to Paradise City. Coming from a predictable life of home schooling on a rural Australian property, she's sure that Paradise will be amazing. But when she's thrust into a public school without a friendly face in sight, and forced to share a room with her insipid, hateful cousin Amanda, Lexie's not so sure.
Hanging out with the self-proclaimed beach bums of the city, sneaking out, late night parties and parking with boys are all things Lexie's never experienced, but all that's about to change. It's new, terrifying . . . and exciting. But when she meets Luke Ballantine, excitingdoesn't even come close to describing her new life. Trouble with a capital T, Luke is impulsive, charming and answers to no one. The resident bad-boy leader of the group, he's sexier than any boy Lexie has ever known.
Amidst the stolen moments of knowing looks and heated touches, Lexie can't help but wonder if Luke is going to be good for her . . . or very, very bad?
Paradise Road
The second book in the Paradise Series will be released August 28th, 2015.
In the sequel to CJ Duggan's PARADISE CITY Lexie Atkinson discovers that the road back to Paradise is never easy . . .
More than anything, seventeen-year-old Lexie Atkinson wants to move forward with her life, but she can't seem to shake free of the heart-pounding memories of Paradise High. Back on her parents' property in rural Victoria, she thought she'd left behind the glitzy, gritty nightlife of the big city and the group of misfit friends she'd loved to hate, but she soon realises that in order to move forward, there's something she must do first ...
Lexie's going back to Paradise City to face the boy who stole her heart.
Lexie arrives in Paradise City eager to determine if her future includes bad-boy surfer, Luke Ballantine, but Luke is nowhere to be found. Determined not to lose her drive, she focuses on the positive - her amazing new apartment and a chance to try her hand at slinging drinks for the wild partygoers of Paradise City. But when Dean Saville, the owner and broody boss of the Wipe Out Bar, starts stirring more than just her drinks Lexie's future seems less cut and dry; and when Luke barrels back into town, Lexie is forced to choose between her head and her heart.
Forever Summer
I know this is yet another push back for Adam and Ellie's story, which I really hate to do, but I also have to do what works. Personal circumstances prevented me from releasing this story earlier in the year, and then I felt that Stan and Max had to take priority before the final instalment. I wanted to build a full, rounded picture for this series, and of course amidst me doing that I signed a book deal with Hachette for the Paradise series. So my time frame has completely been adjusted in order to allow me to release the Onslow Boy Novella's and bring you something new, and exciting for 2015. I like to think of this as win-win, you get Max (yay) You get a BRAND NEW, hot Aussie romance with consecutive releases, and then the cherry on the cake will be Adam and Ellie's story in Forever Summer. It is really important that I do their story justice, that I am able to give them my all, my full attention and not rush their release in between other releases. My hope is that I can give you something I am proud of as these characters mean so much.
You see there’s this boy.
He makes me smile, forces me to listen, serenades me out of tune and keeps me sane, all the while driving me insane. He's really talented like that. But for the first time in since, well, forever, things are about to change. The question is, how much am I willing to lose in order to potentially have it all?
So there you have it, save the dates and grab the pre-orders for all four titles. Here!
