Silent Struggle | Week 1 NaNoWriMo Update for “A History of Silence”

On the 7th day of NaNoWriMo, I can happily say that I’m working right on schedule. At over 13,000 words, I’m going strong into the end of the Opening Act. Characters have been introduced and relationships have been explored and lay semi-exposed, ready for the big inciting incident. I’ve been hesitant to get to it, trying to give my main character, India, something good to hold fast to before I take yet another piece of her heart.
