**Houston Bookrave Online Signed Orders Update**
While Pepe and I were in Houston in early November, we agreed to do signed/personalized Lux Series orders that came in online for those who were unable to attend the event. Unfortunately there was a shipping error that caused the vast majority of books needed to be signed to not arrive in time for the signing, while both Pepe and I were at the same location. Since then, I’ve been attempting to work with the event coordinator to find a suitable, timely resolution for those orders that haven’t been fulfilled, but I am so, so sorry to say that we’ve ran out of options, so here is the best thing I could come up with since I’m actually not the person processing these orders or handling any of the money for it.
Orders Processed at Houston Bookrave:
For those whose books were signed at the event, the coordinator will be shipping those books out this week. There is nothing you will need to do.
Orders Not Processed at Houston Bookrave:
Within the next 48 hours, I will be receiving the email addresses of those whose orders were not processed at the Houston Bookrave and will be emailing each of you directly.
Further information will be provided in that email, but I will be asking for your physical address to send you something. While this was something completely out of my control, I don’t feel right with just a refund being issued. I know it won’t be the same as a book(s) signed by Pepe or I, but I still want to do something for those who will not receive what they’ve ordered.
Please note that what I will be sending out will be at my own cost and on my own time. Things are kind of hectic right now w/ deadlines and the holidays, so I cannot promise that these items will be mailed out immediately. I will know more once I have an idea of how many readers have been affected by this.
Money will begin to be refunded from the event coordinator today (Sunday 11/30) via whatever method used as payment to those whose orders will not be fulfilled.
So what this means, if you do not receive an email from me in the next 48 hours, then you will receive your signed books. If you do not receive an email, there is nothing you need to do at this point.
At this moment, I cannot tell anyone who or who hasn’t been signed, not until I have the list of people, and I prefer to contact them directly myself to ensure that they are notified, etc. I am not the one who processed these orders or has access to any of the payment info, so I do ask for patience while I gather that information from the coordinator.
Again, I am so, so sorry that this is happened, and I wish there something more that I could do to make up for this. Thank you to everyone who has been understanding and patient.
