Some Quick Notes

1.  I just did a full read-through and what I've written so far doesn't suck!  So...no huge rewrites for the first third of the mainline or the school timeline.

2.  The book is now over 300 manuscript pages long, so it's a real boy now.

3.  As is often inevitable, I've added a chapter to the outline.  Meaning it will be 21 chapters long at the current estimate and that I have 9 chapters left to write.  I could see myself adding yet another chapter by the time it's all done, but so far we might manage with 9 really beefy chunks of story.  Given how long the mainlines are starting to get I'm very glad the school story will be wrapping up with FM7.

4.  I had a really awesome idea for FM9 the other day...but I think that's getting ahead of ourselves. Like 3-5 years ahead of ourselves.

5.  I got a flu shot, so...here's hoping I'm not knocked out for my usual two weeks in Dec/Jan/Feb.

6.  Dragon Age: Inquisition is pretty awesome when it decides to be awesome and not a MMO grind simulator.

7.  Have a great Thanksgiving.  Please don't get trampled on Black Friday, I can't afford to lose any fans.

Andy Dear Mr Raley

New King Henry book?

I want that. I guess you probably feel that all your literary children are equal in your eyes.

But I believe that the KH books will in future be considered a major factor in the development of SF2.

Is it possible to obtain hard-copy first editions of your KH books? Signed or not.

Unfortunately (living in Europe), I have had to buy all the KH books and shorts on Kindle over the last few years. It is convenient and personal, but makes it harder to share with and communicate to others.

Best regards, Andy

Richard Raley Thanks for the compliment about the KHT, Andy!

No...no hard copies as of yet. I keep getting distracted by writing the next book and since it's a one-man-show, that means the publish-on-demand versions of the books keep getting dropped down the List of Things to Do.

They are planned and I hope to get to them some time in the future. Editing, formatting, and all that fun stuff.

Andy Thank you for your reply, Mr Raley.

I understand your situation.

I also apologize for not getting that your FM is my KH and that you were basically saying that book 7 is well on the way.

I generally read on Kindle, which is kinder to my bookshelves and easier when it comes to packing for vacation. But I like to have the "keepers" in hard copy for my dotage and when/if the web runs dry.

POB is something I would definitely go for. But I must admit that I don't understand why you haven't been published in other formats; but I have no insight into the market, so can't really comment.

I saw the catastrophe that occurred with the poor presentation of Harry Connolly's excellent Twenty Palace's series. But FM/KH is clearly a far advance on things like Dresden, and -- getting over the more adult content -- cannot understand why it is not better known.

I guess I should start posting some favorable reviews. Big fan, really enjoy your books, but possibly I've been a bit too lazy if I'm now requesting stuff....

Best regards, Andy
