It's he.........eere....

Pssst. This is now up and running. It's very skeletal right now. I suggested it, the webgoblin and the former webelf collaborated, I wrote some FAQs based on things people had asked on Twitter, Facebook or here, and we threw it up, figuring it was more important to get something up (two days before Hallowe'en) than to get it right.
Over the next year we'll make it perfect, and by the time for the run-up to next Hallowe'en I hope it'll be a real resource.
For now, it's a work in progress. But better than nothing.

Click on it and see.

(And if you don't know what or why, it started up here a few days ago at http://journal.neilgaiman.com/2010/10/modest-proposal-that-doesnt-actually.html)
Two book-buying days before Hallowe'en...
Thank you Dan Guy. Thank you Olga.

John Brilliant!!! Books are the main things I've ever asked for as gifts; often above and beyond the latest toy, when I was a child. I love that you are advocating for reading. I'll do what I can to help. =D

Red Excellent, Neil!! This wonderful work in progress will pay off!
I also will contribute any assistance needed, and will continue to spread the love of reading at my library. :)

Belynda Sheer awesomesauce! This is a great idea. My only question being, can we count "Going Rogue: An American Life" as scary title? I mean, one could make a solid argument for listing it under survival horror.

Kiddding... Actually, I don't read a lot of "scary", but John Lindqvist's "Let the Right One In" would be a spectacular gifty title.

Jenna Huffman Random but I wrote a blog about you and Amanda. I'd be thrilled if either of you read it. Short, I promise. Jhuffman.weebly.com. Its uplifing :)

Christine Greeley Love this idea! Thanks Neil! I am thinking of handing out some old fashioned comic books with spooky themes. That would have thrilled me as a kid!

message 7: by Matthew (new)

Matthew Rogers I wonder if we can give the Bible to people and claim it's a scary book. :P

Belynda Matthew wrote: "I wonder if we can give the Bible to people and claim it's a scary book. :P" I'd vouch for that.

LOVE it!
