Different for me but glad I read it, October 30, 2014
This review is from: JUSTIFIED (Kindle Edition)I don't usually read this kind of book but I was given this book as a prize in a contest so I decided to do something different. The story is about a woman named Sarah who is in prison for killing her husband for domestic abuse. As with most abused women, Sarah feels she deserves whatever she gets and prison was on the menu. In comes Jon, her attorney who never gives up on her and does his damn to get her to see she was justified in killing her husband.
This book deals with domestic violence but is more about a woman's journey to self redemption and a man who wouldn't have it any other way. The story begins two years into Sarah's sentence and then reveals bits and pieces of back story in journals Sarah keeps during her time in prison, which gives you a personal look into the way Sarah sees herself, as a monster. Your emotions will run the gambit so be prepared. No spoilers but 5 stars should give you a clue.
