When Sachin gave a shock to Chetan Bhagat – Autobiography Launch
The man, who has always been the talk of the town during his pre-retirement days, is back again with a bang keeping media fully occupied with his latest career shift into the writing industry. The master blaster not only ruled the charts with his top scoring but he is now controlling the nerves of BCCI who are in fear of being exposed. On being asked about the new venture his wife Anjali recalled the farewell speech during West Indies tour last year. It was just after the long 2 hours farewell speech when Anjali got an idea of Sachin putting up his thoughts in an Autobiography. She further stated that she had another appointments fixed that day when it was least expected that West Indies will lose the match in 3 days and we will have to be on our toes at presentation ceremony.
‘I never knew my husband Sachin can give speech for hours, honestly i was getting bored in the later half when I gestured him to pause and asked him to later write a book and we will circulate, but never knew we will be getting such a thumping response when publishers started fighting for the rights and rest is in front of you’ Said smilingly arrogant Anjali.
Sachin jumped in with the good pre-launch quotes which blasted enough and fired few people who have already been in controversies previously. Sachin had the same approach as he used to follow while batting, demoralizing & unsettling the bowlers but this time the target was the former Indian captain, an all-rounder Kapil dev and another was an under rated Australian coach as Greg Chappell who really had best time during his coaching tenure in India. To the one he commented about lacking & contribution towards the tactical ideas or planning strategies and for the Australian he gave thumbs up to all his tact’s and strategies in derailing the Indian team.
Saurav couldn’t control his emotions, he got a sigh of relief and thanked almighty for what Sachin said about Chappell, at least his gestures were enough to convince that he is sure that Indian fans will now believe God of cricket and they will be sure of Chappell rather doubting his long slump in form as the reason of losing the captaincy.
The book is definitely getting record-breaking pre-orders leaving all the bestselling authors devastated. The book had topped 150,000 copies in orders, already pulling ahead of both pre-order and lifetime sales of the top hardbacks Dan Brown’s ‘Inferno’, Walter Issacson’s ‘Steve Jobs’ and JK Rowling’s ‘Casual Vacancy’. We heard Chetan Bhagat saying.
“This is not going to help, i wish i could have joined cricket alternatively, anything associated with cricket gets you huge publicity, and there is no point of being from IIT or IIM as ultimately cricket gets you whatever you desire in life.”
“I am earning my living through creative writing and publishing, every alternate day sportsperson comes and try to be in the National bestseller tag, I wish I could play any sport as well’ Lamented Dan brown indirectly pointing towards the English player ‘Kevin Peterson’ who recently launched his book as well.
We took young author Krishna verma, the author of bestselling novel ‘I will love once again’ opinion as well.
“I have watched him since I first saw him in 1996 world cup match for the first time; whatever he does i have always found it as a class act and all I can do is to only wish him all the best for his new venture. I apologize for being biased but We writers can pause and adjust.”
He then dozed off ;).
(The above piece of IWLOA news is not to hurt any sentiments personal or private or public but just add little humor just as novel ‘i will love once again” so please don’t use your brain just read and enjoy)
