Losing Logan sequel?

I’ve been saying for a year now that Losing Logan is a stand lone novel. And it is. Sure, you have Haunting Zoe, the very short companion novella, but Zoe’s story absolutely ends in Losing Logan.

Only, what happens to Logan?

Honestly, I hadn’t thought about it much. Until early this month when I began work on a new novel, one about a young woman named Dallas who is on her way to becoming a demon. She has one year to steal seven souls or her little sister dies and she gets sent back to purgatory–forever. Now, Dallas reminds me a lot of Zoe in some ways, fierce, determined, smart-mouthed. And there is a young man who is sent to keep her from accomplishing her goal, a young man who was IMPOSSIBLE to write. I couldn’t figure out who he was, which was throwing the whole story out of whack.

After a long brainstorming session, I realized the problem.

He’s Logan.

So is this book a sequel to Losing Logan? Yes and no. Yes, it takes place after the events of Losing Logan and yes, Logan is one of the main characters. But it’s not his book. It’s Dallas’ book. It’s her story–her journey, he’s just one of the key players.

What this basically means is this: If you loved Logan and wanted to get more of his story, you will find it in this book. But Zoe isn’t in it (sorry, no Zoe & Logan HEA) and while his relationship with her is briefly mentioned, it’s not the focus of this story. This story is about how far you will go to protect the people you love, and how to save someone who doesn’t want to be saved.

So rather than a sequel, it’s more like a new story with a familiar face. And I’m nervous about it because I’ve never done anything like this before. So wish me luck and hopefully it will all work out in the end. If I finish it up soon I will be sure to share a sneak peek with you!

Anto Omg, yes, please! I'm so excited now. I LOVED Logan so much, and while it made me a little sad that him and Zoe didn't have their HEA, I knew it wasn't meant.
And now knowing that we're going to see (read) him again (even if it's not his book), it has me in a totally fangirl mode.
You made my day, Sherry!

I'm looking forward to read your new work. It sounds really good
