Dammit.

One of the traditions of Bad Voltage (a show I co-host with Jeremy Garcia, Stuart Langridge and Jono Bacon) is that, whenever someone misses a show, they must be punished.

Punishment takes the form of needing to change your avatar picture on the Bad Voltage forum for 2 weeks — to whatever picture the other 3 hosts choose.  Stuart was once punished by being forced to change his avatar to a picture of a shirtless Charlton Heston.

Well.  I missed the most recent episode.  So, I am being punished.

DammitMy co-hosts, being the evil bastards they truly are, came up with my new avatar picture — a heart around the Jupiter Broadcasting logo.

Which… brutal.  Just brutal.

[For those who don't know why this is so brutal... jeeze... long story.]

But, I’m going to take it like a man.  For quite some time I’ve suggested that we should expand this punishment beyond simply the Bad Voltage forum.  That we should be forced to change our avatar on the social networks as well.  (Truth be told I only suggested that to bust my co-hosts balls a bit.)

Now is my chance to nut up and put my money where my mouth is.

DoubleDammitA few moments ago I changed my avatar on Twitter, Google+ and Facebook as well.

For the next two weeks, whenever you see my posts on social networks, you will see a symbol of… love… for… Jupiter Broadcasting.

Dammit.

For those curious, I missed the show because we changed the time we were recording to work with Jono’s schedule.  But, for some reason, the appointment on my calendar didn’t update.  So I was outside, playing with my kiddo, when the other dudes were recording.  I came inside at the normal time to record… and they were done.  Not sure why (invite was updated, and I accepted it) but, regardless of the cause, I shall take my punishment with my head held high.  …no matter how brutal.
