My sequel to Dark Angel progresses; just passed the 50,000 word mark but now I have a dilemma. I have many ideas for other stories and I have concerns I'm trying to rush this book through to reach the promised delivery date of the end of the year. Am I sacrificing anything in my haste? Is my urge to move to a new story unbalancing my focus?
I'm trying not to think on these worries and yet, they still rear their heads and poke their tongues out at me.
Do I have a solution to my fears? At this time, I'm just going to work through this sequel. Once the work is done, I can read through and see what rewrites I may need. Part of me thinks it is an 80,000 word work, part of me thinks it's 110,000 words. I'm going to simply write on and let it be as long as it needs to be.
