Want the people you hire to feel good about their jobs so that they take them on with increasing zeal rather than ultimate burnout? Train everyone as you would a Kindergartner. Not speaking down to them, of course. But understanding that the new employee is overwhelmed simply with BEING on the new job and that a time of mistakes and uncertainty is inevitable. You wouldn’t yell or demean a child, nor should you ever an employee.
