One of The Best People I Know...

…is a teacher in the highest poverty level of school (grades K-5) in the Washington, D.C. area. Her name is Ms. Carre, you might know her on Twitter as @cookifit.

She’s a huge comics fan and someone I adore to pieces.

What I didn’t know is that the school she teaches at has no funding for a therapy room for her students, many of whom are special needs kids, some of whom have trauma and ptsd and all manner of other things that can make school far, far more challenging.

Cookifit is trying to raise just a little bit of money for learning and calming toys for her therapy room to help these wonderful kids. Things like animal toys, calculating toys, and other creative, educational toys and games, as well as things like stress balls and anger management games that can specifically help kids who might be struggling.

It’s the best cause by the best person for the best reason.
