Mav found me! That canny mutt, I knew she’d be ok. I’m always glad to see her.

I never told her, but I had a big crush on her when we first met.

She said she knew I’d been sick. I didn’t tell her about the jackal, but she didn’t ask how I survived. Said I’ve always been lucky, and a survivor.

I guess. I’ve always had help, though.

It was nice to talk with her. She wants to move in and watch out for me, but I told her no.

I’m curious to see if that jackal will come back, but I’m starting to doubt it.
