Focus Features to Develop The Scorpio Races

Ah, man, I've been sitting on this news for so, so long.

 More than any of my books, this is the one I long to see on the big screen, and it’s also the one that has had the most aggressive interest since publication. Fingers crossed that it makes it to filming. Double, triple, quadruple crossed.

Stephanie Krause I am SO excited about this! Somewhat conflicted as well though, personally... I think it would make an EXCELLENT film (it was a very visual novel), but this book also holds the distinction of containing THE SCARIEST narration I have ever read. I got actual goosebumps and my breath came quickly reading one particular section of the book, and I don't think that a movie could match that feeling for me.
SO, I guess the moral of the comment is, as ever: READ THE BOOK FIRST. Have that visceral mental experience, and THEN hope for the film, and cross your fingers a bit tighter that it comes close to living up to the superlative narrative that is The Scorpio Races. :)

Stephanie I would LOVE to see this movie!! The Scorpio Races is one of my favorite books!!!!
