Now that the script for our new short film “In a City” is all written, it’s time for the community to perform it. Also, Cinematographers can continue to contribute footage of cities all over the world for this project.

VOICE OVER ARTISTS: Record audio of yourself reading THIS POEM. Please use THIS READING as inspiration. Here are some notes to consider:

You don’t have to have a professional microphone to record a VO - you can use your webcam or a phone
Feel free to perform multiple takes of your readings
Record in a quiet location

CINEMATOGRAPHERS: Keep on shooting beautiful, cinematic shots of your city as you take a walk through it. Check out THIS FOOTAGE for what I’m looking for. Here’s some direction to consider:

At some point during your shoot, turn the camera on yourself and film your face as you walk - but don’t look directly into the lens.
The footage you shoot should be handheld and demonstrate the motion of walking - please don’t shoot with a tripod, slider, etc.
When you upload your footage to the site, please include the best unedited clips from your shoot.
