Day 1 NaNoWriMo Results

So, I'm not saying I'll do this every day this month, because let's face it... I'm going to be pretty maxed out with word counts by the end of the day, but until that happens, I want to share my writing day with you. I'm attempting National Write Your Novel In a Month (NaNoWriMo) this year, and my project is A Kiss with Scandal. Shocked, right? Me too.  But it's the truth. Before the month is over, I'll have a first draft of the fourth book in The Scandals & Secrets Series. Bonus: my cover's done! I'll unveil that later this month. :)

So, drum roll please! Here's some Day 1 results:

Words: 2,418! Not as high as I wanted for the first day, but it's well above the mark, and I'm pleased with that.

First line: If Charlotte had to suffer one more idiotic comment from another pea-brained lord, she couldn’t be held responsible for her actions.
