Elizabeth Horton-Newton was born in New York City on February 1st, 1953. She attended public schools in Manhattan and decided in the 4th grade she wanted to be a writer. After attending the Brooklyn campus of Long Island University and majoring in Media Arts with an eye toward TV Production she moved to Knoxville, TN where her father was born and raised.
