Sailing the Atlantic in a Canoe

So a couple of weeks ago I teased about a project I was going to be embarking on. Here is the official announcement of sorts.

This year I have decided to write my first novel. It is the first in a trilogy of books for the same target audience as The Hunger Games and Divergent. 

The plan was to start February 1st and write 1 page a day, thus having a 334 page book by the end of the year. I am already ahead of schedule, as I am 10 pages in. This will however be a daunting task. I am excited and ready for it. 

I won’t go into too much detail on the book just yet, but I will throw out a little teaser image with the title and the first three sentences of the book:

"The world is supposed to end in about a year.  My dad says that things are going to be very different.  He won’t tell me why but he said that it’s the reason I was created."
