A “Threatening” Experience

Yesterday marked my first ever “Triple Threat” panel at Cuppa Pulp Writer’s Space/CILK119! I had the pleasure of joining C.E. Grundler (No Wake Zone, Last Exit in New Jersey) and Richard Herr (Tales from the StarBoard Café) to discuss current trends in electronic publishing and the industry at large. We had a blast entertaining a rather full house of friends, fans, and other authors. Donna Miele was a most gracious host and facilitator! The Writer’s Space is the most amazing environment I’ve ever seen! Endless work spaces with everything a writer needs! I joked with Donna that I might move in and never leave (she doesn’t know it but I might just be serious…). I’m looking forward to being part of more events there in the future! One of the biggest things to come out of it was talking about my author platform and the social networking sites I tend to use and fancy (Instagram is my favorite, followed by Twitter. Facebook, my least favorite since the implantation of pay-for-views on business pages, don’t get me started!). Some future panels/workshops I’m considering include building a social networking platform, beginnings of genre fiction, and building plot and character. I feel more confident these days in my ability to deliver information and I’m looking forward to sharing whatever I can!

It was a great pleasure to meet C.E. and Richard as well as Phillip from The Science Fiction Association of Bergen County! Lots of awesome networking! Thank you all for coming out to celebrate our books and talk about the industry! I look forward to seeing you all again soon!

I’ve posted a few pictures of the event below!

Cheers,

Max
