Testing

"Have you seen a doctor yet?" Michaela asked. "Home pregnancy tests are pretty accurate, but they'll want to confirm the pregnancy and get your prenatal care started."

"I haven't taken a test yet. I just know I'm late," Julie said.

"There're other reasons you might be late!" Michaela barked. "Geez, take the freakin' test!"

In a softer tone, Ann said, "I'll go with you to the drug store to buy a test. You can take the test here, or I'll go home with you and you can take it there. Or maybe you'd want to take it with Darren around. Just let me know what you want to do."

In an even softer tone, Michaela said,
"Sorry I yelled at you. I just can't stand the way you're worrying yourself, when you might not even be pregnant."

Today I won't worry about what might be.
