Sending a MOBI (Kindle) File to Your Kindle

Sending a MOBI (Kindle) file to your kindle device is quick and easy. First off, you need to know your device’s email address. This is NOT the same email address you use for Amazon.com. Each kindle device you own has its own unique email address.

Find your device’s email address:

1. Go to Amazon.com and select Manage Content & Devices from the Your Account drop down menu.

2. Then select YOUR DEVICES

3. Look for the device you wish to send the document/mobi file to. You will see it listed and then under it, you will see the Email address for THAT device. This is the email address you will put in your TO section of your mail client.

4. Make sure you email the MOBI/File to your device from the email address you use to sign into Amazon.com. Now, email the MOBI file to your kindle device’s address from the email address you use to sign into Amazon.com. Give it just a bit and then hit sync on your device. Sometimes it does take just a bit to get the files. Depending on what kindle you have the book may show in your documents section or on your carrousel.
