Mercy for Animals has released a video documenting abuse of calves raised for veal at Buckeye Veal Farm in Apple Creek Ohio. Buckeye is the primary veal supplier to Costco and Great Eagle grocers.

Longtime animal rights advocate Bob Barker has joined Mercy for Animals in urging consumers to boycott Costco and Great Eagle dairy and veal. I urge consumers to go further and boycott these stores altogether. The sweet little calf in the picture above represents the way these animals should be living.

Go vegan - if you haven't this is another  great reason to consider it
Urge Costco and Giant Eagle to end the sale of veal immediately. You can use the form letter here 
If you live in Ohio please contact the Ohio Livestock Care Standards Board and urge them to honor the common-sense agreement reached in June by leaders of Ohio's farm community humane organizations and Governor Ted Strickland that would among other things phase out the cruel confinement of calves in veal crates.
