Yesterday my husband and I visited the 9/11 Museum and the Freedom Tower in downtown Manhattan. If you’re ever in the city, I highly suggest you go – if only because it’s something so embedded in the fabric of our lives. One day the world was one way … and then it wasn’t. I didn’t take pictures inside the memorial or museum. It felt wrong. I didn’t want a piece of it coming home with me anywhere except inside me. But the outside, the part that had the most impact was the tower itself – spectacular – as was the movie of it being built; and the footprint – the two places where the original Twin Towers, the World Trade Center, used to stand. They built reflecting pools surrounded by waterfalls pouring in … and the names of the lost surrounding it. That, was something so see. And that’s what I’m sharing with you today. Thanks for giving me a place to do that.
