More clues to an approaching darkness are revealed in the newest installment of Ivy's long-running and consistently excellent Guardians of Eternity series. New players are being added to Ivy's world, ramping up the action. Ivy always packs her books with buckets of action, emotion and sexy sizzle; and the continuing presence of Levet, the mini gargoyle, is welcome comic relief. Another winner!

As Charon, or rogue vampire executioner, Tane is none too popular with his fellow vampires. His most recent assignment has him tracking a half jinn/half human named Laylah who was part of the recent werewolf debacle. According to the supernatural commission, half-jinn are abominations and not allowed to live, but feisty Laylah is not going down so easily. Coldhearted Tane suddenly finds his emotions unexpectedly thawing, but is their passion doomed? Evil vampire Marika is hunting Laylah for the secret she guards — a child wrapped in spells who may be the catalyst for the return of the terrifying Dark Lord.
