I usually try to write about my writing. But today, I'm going to write about inspiration.
My cousin last spring was struck by tragedy when his wife, the love of his life, collapsed in a restaurant. After several surgeries and a stroke, this lovely woman in her mid-fifties is home. Though she can't walk or talk, he feels blessed just to have her. He's taken an early retirement to care for her, and as always, she is the center of his world.
When life gets difficult (an unexpected bill, a broken appliance), I try to think of him and what they have been going through this past year. I realize that I don't have it so bad. Count your blessings!
