Knowing When You're Lucky

My books don't sell a lot. :) They aren't bad. Actually, most of them are very, very good. Kinda of like Hallmark Hall of Fame or Family Channel movies.

The problem is competition. But even though it affects me adversely, I'm still proud of all the authors who've created their own companies and publish their own books.

I believe a spirit of competition is what makes this country great.

Now, that's not to say I don't want you to buy MY books. LOL I do. In fact, go look me up on Amazon right now. I'll wait! :)

The fact is I'm blessed. I've published close to sixty books. I have some wonderful fans. I have three great kids and a good husband. And though my house is desperately in need of remodeling, the roof doesn't leak, the basement is dry and I'm warm and snug at night.

Sometimes, the trick to life isn't being happy in good times. It's finding things to be happy about in bad times...or even slow times.

It's not easy to have a full-time job and be a full-time mom...Yet, I know most of you are running that race right now.

So congratulate yourself on being strong and hanging in. It's not easy.

Congratulate yourself if you're staying at a job you might not like.

Congratulate yourself for getting up early, going to bed late, and being the good mom you always wanted to be.

Because you are a great person.

Happy reading.
