Weekly Notes, October 13, 2014
Straight from the desk of Alice Brown & Lady V:
It's been a busy week as far as writing goes. Lady V is currently working on a secret project, and Alice finished the Christmas short story: Santa Vamp and turned in, so now moving on to finish up Up in Smoke, Texas Vampire Rangers 2.
Besides that, Lady V hosted the Save the Ta-Ta's event Sunday, Oct. 12. Hope everyone remembered to stop in to say hello. Also, Sapphaire is still on sale for $.99 for the next few days! If you haven't picked up your copy, now is the time to do it. Many other good titles are on sale also. I know I went through and stocked up! Books that are currently on sale (through 10/16) are listed below.

From the land of Dragonose!
Hi everyone! Sapphamire here to tell you about an exciting new twitter acct that has opened. Do you remember the vampires from Up in Flames, Texas Vampire Rangers? Well, Up in Smoke, TVR-2 is going to be out next month. But, you can meet and chat with the characters on twitter! We dragons got to meet with them a couple of weeks ago, and they are a great group of guys (or vamps). So, go check them out, they can be found at @TexasVampRanger.
Now, come a little closer, because I have a secret to tell. Be sure not to tell our creators that I let the cat out of the bag on this one but.....
I overheard them talking at dinner the other night and they were outlining the story for Dragons of Dragonose 4! I listened in and found out some secrets are going to be revealed in this book. It is going to be a great story! And guess what? Doc Quinn meets his mate! I am so stoked about this story!
From what the creators discussed, they are planning on jumping on this book just as soon as Up in Smoke is finished, which should be in about two weeks! I can't wait!!!

A Message from the Paws: Shadow
Hi everyone! I did something really stupid this week. I always go with daddy to the dump to take the garbage. Well, we were on our way back, having a good ole' time; he had the windows open for me to catch the breeze on my face.
Suddenly, a cat darted across the street. Dad immediately hit the brakes to slow down, not wanting to hit it. But I took one look at that cat running and wanted to chase it. So, out the window I went.
What I didn't remember was that although I have plenty of room to hang my head out the window, dad always keeps a leash on me and keeps a tight hold on the other end. So, when I jumped out of the truck window, I only got half way before I was hanging myself. Thankfully, dad stopped immediately right in the middle of the road when I jumped, and had me back in the truck very quickly.
Still, all-in-all, a scary event. I think maybe I'll leave running cats alone for the next day or two before I try chasing them again.
