The Walking Dead: Rise of the Governor by
Robert KirkmanMy rating:
4 of 5 stars"The Walking Dead" is my favorite TV show out right now, so I was curious to learn more about the infamous villain, The Governor. I picked up this book, not knowing what to expect. I am definitely glad to have read it. Giving too much information away would be a tragedy, so I'll just say that the book is worth it for any fan of the TV show. And if you feel that things get slow at any point in the book, keep with it, because there is a mind-blowing twist at the end. While the book is a pre-quel of sorts, mainly unrelated to the events of the TV show, reading it will certainly give you a new outlook on the character from the AMC hit TV series.
While this is part one of a series of 4 (I've read 3 of the 4), I feel is works wonderfully (and possibly best) as a stand-alone piece.
