how would you explain love to someone who doesn't believe in it?

It’s like driving on a really long road at night. It’s like how warm it feels to be in bed after a long day. It’s the way your stomach feels when you’ve just hit a dip on the road. It’s bright lights. It’s drinking water after you’ve been thirsty. It’s the first hit of alcohol at the back of your throat. Love is the first building to ever be constructed. It’s taking your contact lenses out at night. Love is the woman who stands at the side of the road and lures men to their deaths. Love is patient, love is kind. Love is brutal.
