i just watched the first episode of The Killing on Netflix and i’m in tears because this girl’s father is on his knees and it’s raining and he’s crying and shrieking “that’s my baby girl” and his wife is on the phone and she can hear his shrieks and she’s curled up on the kitchen floor and she’s screaming his name and it’s all fine when it’s a TV show but then you realise that this shit happens to people and parents all the time and then it’s not so fine anymore
