Usually like the original... unless it was just SO horrible and had absolutely nothing to do with the book. If I've got it bookmarked or have seen the cover that's usually going to be what I look for when I am able to purchase. So I might overlook it or get disgusted trying to find it and give up.... What I really dislike is when authors in efforts to reach new audience totally repackage the book, giving it not only a new look but a new name and cover description. I've picked up a few thinking... " I guess I missed that one in a series... musta been an extra" when no... it's the same book, just a different shell. if it's a book I really liked and want to gift to others really don't like the repackaging. chances are... if it's not an easy find, that's one (or in some cases 3) fewer books sold.

Not a huge fan of cover changes, but this is coming from someone who has bought the same book three times because of a cover change. Getting a Nook has stopped me from buying multiple copies which is something I really like because it means I can spend money on an actual new book. LOL! Now if I can just figure out how to get my hardbound and paperback library loaded. ;)
I am an ebook person so for the most part I don't notice cover changes. A cover may catch my attention to read the blurb, but changing it I probably won't notice. What I do hate is reissues, with different names or put in an anthology type book. I don't mind anthologies, but sometimes I forget book titles-so I'd like to know if the book was released in a different anthology also or stand alone and what that release date was, so I know and don't accidentally get a book I've already gotten.
