How did high school influence your writing and did you participate in any sports?

I’m one of those who thinks everything influences my writing in some way, so it’s hard to list all the ways a four-year period of my life might’ve done so! But high school was when I started writing fanfiction and posting it online, which was a huge boost to my confidence, and provided a great training ground for learning the basics of craft.
