When you think of a story, what comes to mind first? Books, right? What about a good movie, a well-written television series?
Have you ever wondered what it takes to write lyrics to a song?
Songs are stories put to music. Yet, unlike short stories or novels that give authors thousands of words and hundreds of pages to tell their tales, songwriters us rhyme, rhythm, and music to do the same in minutes. Have you ever wondered how they do it?
Join me and the Wordsmith Writers of Clayton County on October 26th, as we welcome lyricist and songwriter, Swavatar Jack, as he shares his song writing talents and how he incorporates his life stories into music. Swavatar Jack is signed to Cos Records and recently released his first mixtape, Jack the Ripper. Check him out and meet with us. I’ll see you there!
When: October 26th, 2-4 PM
Where: Barnes & Noble – Southlake
1939 Mount Zion RoadMorrow, Ga. 30260PH: 770-471-2227
