Please explain the Macklemore as eluded to on Inkstuds. I am as much a fan of your politics as I am of your work.

I’m trying to remember the exact context I used it in. but yeah, when I say someone is pulling a Macklemore that’s just speaking for someone else instead of letting them speak for themselves. Getting a lesbian to sing the hook on Same love feels like when comic dudes tell a story about strong women and get a woman to draw it.(it’s something, but it’s not the same thing as someone telling their own story) The goal is to get some eyes on diverse voices not just propping up the same kinds of dudes saying slightly different things.
